British Council in Latvia together with its partners implements more than 40 projects annually. These projects offer people an opportunity to learn necessary skills, to develop new approaches to the daily life challenges and to find out about opportunities that support social integration as well as active participation in decision making in their communities.
In order to reach an even wider public, the British Council Latvia announces a Project Ideas Open Call to support cultural and artistic projects that would:
- promote the use of cultural and aesthetic values uniting Latvia, the United Kingdom and Europe to develop innovative, inclusive and interdisciplinary cultural and artistic ideas and their realization
- develop socially creative and inclusive arts and culture platforms and plan to promote a mutually respectful dialogue between different groups and communities and are based on shared experience, social memory or coexistence practices
- stimulate cooperation between different groups and communities in the realization of cultural and artistic project ideas.
